WHAT DERIVA MS IS USED FOR?
It is used on the face, chest or back for acne, where the skin may have lots of blackheads, spots and pimples

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to adapalene or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have cuts or scrapes or on sunburnt skin
Have a skin condition called eczema
Had exposure to strong sunlight and artificial UV light
PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING
DERIVA MS should not be used during pregnancy
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine
CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS
DERIVA MS is not recommended for use in children and adolescents
DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
DERIVA MS is less likey to affect driving and using machines
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you are taking:
Other acne products (containing benzoyl peroxide, erythromycin or clindamycin)
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
DERIVA MS is applied at night before going to bed
Thoroughly wash the areas to be treated with water
Make sure the skin is clean and dry before using this medicine
Put a thin film of the gel with your fingertips on to the affected areas and rub in gently
Do not forget to wash your hands afterwards
If you use more DERIVA MS
If you put too much DERIVA MS on your skin, it may become irritated and red. Some peeling or discomfort could also occur. Contact your doctor immediately
If you forget to use DERIVA MS
If you forget to apply your DERIVA MS at the right time. When you remember, start using this medicine again, in the same way as before
If you Stop using DERIVA MS
Do not stop using this medicine unless told by your doctor
SIDE EFFECTS OF DERIVA MS:
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

COMMON
Dry skin
Irritation of the skin
Burning sensation of the skin
Redness of the skin (erythema)
UNCOMMON
Local skin reaction (contact dermatitis)
Skin discomfort
Sunburn
Itching of the skin (pruritus)
Peeling skin (exfoliation)
Flare up of acne
STORAGE:
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)

Deriva MS Aqueous Gel is for external use only.
You should always use it exactly as your doctor has told you. The affected area should be clean and dry before application.
You must wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine.
Do not use more than you need as it will not clear your condition faster and some side effects may be increased.
If your condition goes on for longer than four weeks or gets worse at any time, let your doctor know.
You can help this medicine work better by keeping the affected areas clean.
Common side effects

Avoid sun exposure and cover the treated areas with clothing or use a sunscreen before stepping out in the sun.
It is advised not to have any cosmetic procedures during the treatment.
