In-Depth Precautions and Warning
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Allrite 5mg Tablet 10’s, consult your doctor. If you have kidney problems, dose adjustment might be required; the doctor will do it depending upon your disease’s condition. Please inform your doctor if you have a problem passing urine and have epilepsy (fits) before starting Allrite 5mg Tablet 10’s.
If you are supposed to undergo skin testing, the doctor might advise you to stop taking Allrite 5mg Tablet 10’s 72 hours before the test as it decreases response to skin prick test. Patients should be cautioned against getting engaged in the work which required too much mental alertness like operating machinery or driving a motor vehicle after intake of Allrite 5mg Tablet 10’s.
Concurrent use of Allrite 5mg Tablet 10’s with alcohol or other antidepressants should be avoided as it can reduce your mental alertness. Cetirizine can also be taken under medical supervision by children aged 1 year and older. Patients should avoid taking overdosage of Allrite 5mg Tablet 10’s because of the increased risk of sleepiness and drowsiness at higher doses.
Drug-Drug Interaction: Allrite 5mg Tablet 10’s have interactions with other antihistamines (such as diphenhydramine), Antidepressant (such as duloxetine), pain killer (such as pregabalin), a medicine used to treat low blood pressure (such as midodrine), a medicine used to treat anxiety disorders and panic disorder (such as alprazolam), and anti-viral or anti-HIV drugs (ritonavir).
Drug-Food Interaction: Alcohol and St John’s wort plant (a plant used as an anti-depressant) should not be used along with Allrite 5mg Tablet 10’s.
Drug-Disease Interaction: Allrite 5mg Tablet 10’s is contraindicated in kidney disease, epilepsy (fits), urinary bladder problem (Urinary Tract Obstruction) and alcoholism.
As compared to other similar medications, it is much less likely to make you feel sleepy.
Be cautious while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as it can cause dizziness and sleepiness.
Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication as it may cause increased sleepiness.
