Alzil SR 23 mg Tablet
Your doctor will explain how to take Alzil-SR 23 Tablet. You may take it with food, preferably at night before going to bed. Follow the instructions carefully to get the most benefit. The dose may change from time to time to suit your individual needs. It can take up to a few weeks for symptoms to improve so keep taking your medicine regularly. You should not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.
Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, diarrhea, insomnia, vomiting, muscle cramps, fatigue, and weight loss (anorexia). Drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated. You may have side effects more often when you start your treatment or when your dose is increased. Usually, the side effects will slowly go away as your body gets used to the Alzil-SR 23 Tablet. If they are severe or will not go away, you should contact your doctor.
Before using Alzil-SR 23 Tablet, you should tell your doctor if you have ever had heart problems, stomach ulcers, epilepsy, or asthma. It may also affect, or be affected by, some other drugs you are using so let your doctor know what these are to be safe. During pregnancy, this medicine should only be taken if it is advised. It is used to treat mild, moderate, and severe Alzheimer?s disease
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
TALK TO DOCTOR
Talk to your doctor before taking ALZIL SR 23MG, if you:
Are allergic to any of the ingredients in Donepezil or to medicines that contain piperidines
Have any heart problems including problems with irregular, slow, or fast heartbeats
Suffer from asthma or lung problems
Suffer from a seizure
Have stomach ulcers
Have difficulty in passing urine
Have liver or kidney problems
Have trouble swallowing tablets
Have or had surgery or dental surgery
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
It is not known if ALZIL SR 23MG can harm an unborn baby
ALZIL SR 23MG is not for women who are breast-feeding. It is not known if ALZIL SR 23MG passes into breast milk
Consult your doctor for advice if you are pregnant or breast feeding or planning to become pregnant
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
ALZIL SR 23MG has not been approved as a treatment for any medical condition in children
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
ALZIL SR 23MG medicine can cause tiredness, dizziness and muscle cramp. If you experience any of these affects you must not drive or operate machinery
INTERACTIONS:
Tell the doctor about all the medicines the patient takes, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
ALZIL SR 23MG and other medicines may affect each other. Be particularly sure to tell the doctor if the patient takes
Medicines used for anesthesia
Aspirin or medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Take ALZIL SR 23MG exactly as prescribed by the doctor
Do not stop ALZIL SR 23MG or change the dose yourself
Take ALZIL SR 23MG one time each day
It can be taken with or without food
If you take more ALZIL SR 23MG
If the patient takes too much ALZIL SR 23MG at one time, call the doctor go to the emergency room right away
If you forget to take ALZIL SR 23MG
If you miss giving the patient a dose of ALZIL SR 23MG, just wait. Give only the next dose at the usual time. Do not give 2 doses at the same time. If ALZIL SR 23MG is missed for 7 days or more, talk with the doctor before starting again
If you stop taking ALZIL SR 23MG
Do not stop taking ALZIL SR 23MG unless your doctor advice to do so
STORAGE:
Store ALZIL SR 23MG at room temperature (15-25°C)
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Do not take this medicine after the expiry date

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
You are recommended to avoid alcohol consumption while taking ALZIL SR 23MG TABLET. Alcohol intake, along with ALZIL SR 23MG TABLET, can worsen the symptoms of dementia.

PREGNANCY
ALZIL SR 23MG TABLET can only be used in pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the unborn baby.

BREAST FEEDING
It is not known if ALZIL SR 23MG TABLET passes into breast milk or not. Breast-feeding women should ask their doctor before using this medication.
