WHAT ISONORM SR 30MG IS USED FOR?

It is used to prevent angina pectoris
Angina usually feels like a tight pain in the chest, neck or arm area. The pain comes from the heart muscle and is a sign that part of it is not getting enough oxygen for work it is doing.

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS

ISONORM SR 30MG is not suitable for children

DRIVING & USING MACHINES

ISONORM SR 30MG may give you a headache, blurred vision or make you feel dizzy or tired. If this happens to you, do not drive or operate machinery

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

Sildenafil used for impotence
Riociguat, used in treating pulmonary hypertension
Medicines to lower your blood pressure
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (used to treat depression)
Tricyclic antidepressants (used to treat depression) and neuroleptics (used to treat anxiety)
Ergotamine used for migraine
Sapropterin used for phenylketonuria (PKU)

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Swallow the medicine whole with a drink of water

If you take more ISONORM SR 30MG

If you take more, immediately contact the nearest hospital casualty department or your doctor

If you forget to take ISONORM SR 30MG

Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Take your next dose at the usual time

If you stop taking ISONORM SR 30MG

Do not stop taking ISONORM SR 30MG without first talking to your doctor. You should keep taking your medicine until your doctor tells you to stop. If you stop taking the medicine your condition may get worse

Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Isonorm 30 SR Tablet is used to prevent heart-related chest pain (angina). It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels so blood can flow more easily to the heart. This medicine will not treat an angina attack that has already begun.

Isonorm 30 SR Tablet should be taken empty stomach. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take them.

This may change from time to time depending on how well they are working. You should take this medicine as it has been prescribed and keep taking it, even if you feel well.

This medicine helps to prevent chest pain in the future.

If you stop taking it, your risk of chest pain will increase, especially if you stop taking them suddenly. Lifestyle changes such as diet, exercise, and not smoking may help this medication work better.

You can develop tolerance to this medicine over time, which means that the same dose becomes less effective.

most common side effects

The most common side effects include headache, dizziness, changes to your heart rate, and flushing (warmth, redness, or a tingly feeling).

If these symptoms bother you or do not go away, your doctor may suggest ways of preventing or reducing them.

Some can be reduced by taking painkillers, drinking plenty of fluids, and avoiding alcohol.

Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure, increased pressure in the eye (glaucoma), kidney disease, or heart failure.

Also let your doctor know if you are taking any other medicines as some may affect, or be affected by, this medicine and some may be dangerous to take with it.

You should not take any medicine for erectile dysfunction with this medicine. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor if this medicine is suitable.

Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood pressure and heart rate during the treatment with this medicine.

SAFETY ADVICE

Alcohol

Consuming alcohol while taking Isonorm SR Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

Pregnancy

Isonorm SR Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Isonorm SR Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

Isonorm SR Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Isonorm SR Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Isonorm 30 SR Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.

Liver

Isonorm SR Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Isonorm 30 SR Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
