METAGARD CR 35MG contains Trimetazidine which belongs to the class of medicine called anti-ischemic
WHAT METAGARD CR 35MG IS USED FOR?
METAGARD CR 35MG is used in combination with other medicines to treat angina pectoris
It protects the heart cells from the effects of a reduced oxygen supply

Are allergic to trimetazidine or any other ingredients of this medicine
Have a Parkinson disease
Have severe kidney problems
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
Do not to take this medicine during pregnancy or breast feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
It is not recommended in children aged below 18 years
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
This medicine may make you feel dizzy and drowsy that may affect your ability to drive or use machinery
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always take METAGARD CR 35MG exactly as your doctor has told you
Dosage
Adults
The recommended dose of METAGARD CR 35MG 20mg to be taken three times a day during meals
Patients with kidney disease and elderly patients
If you have kidney problems or if you are older than 75 years old, your doctor may adjust the recommended dose
For patients with severe kidney disease: not recommended
If you take more METAGARD CR 35MG
If you take too many medicine, please contact your doctor or the nearest hospital emergency department immediately
If you forget to take METAGARD CR 35MG
If you forget to take one or more doses, do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking METAGARD CR 35MG
You should discuss with your doctor before you stop taking your medicine
STORAGE:
Keep out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Do not take your medicine after the expiry date

Metagard CR 35 Tablet should be taken regularly as advised by the doctor. You should take it with or without food and at a fixed time. Your doctor will decide how often you should take this medicine. This may change from time to time depending on how well it is working. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit, even if you feel fine.

It helps in preventing future harm. If you stop taking it, your chest pain may come back. You can improve the health of your heart by making some lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, cutting down on alcohol, eating well, taking regular exercise, and managing stress.
