Kenz-Sal Lotion is a combination medicine used in the treatment of dandruff which also provides a shiny appearance to the hair. It works by killing microorganisms that cause the infection.
Kenz-Sal Lotion is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. A thin layer of the medicine should be applied only to the affected areas of the skin with clean and dry hands.
Wash your hands before and after application of the medicine. If it gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth rinse with water.
It may take several days to weeks for your symptoms to improve, but you should keep using this medicine regularly. The course of the treatment should be completed to ensure better efficacy of the medicine.
This medicine is usually safe to use with no common side effects. However, consult with your doctor if you experience application site reactions such as burning, redness, and itching of skin.
It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way this medicine works, but talk to your doctor before using it if you have recently used another medicine for dandruff.

Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml belongs to a class of medicine known as an antifungal. Lotion 60 ml is primarily used to treat dandruff and control seborrheic dermatitis (scaly patches and red skin on the scalp). Dandruff is a flaky, itchy scalp without signs of inflammation. It is unnecessary shedding of dead skin from the scalp.
Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml is composed of two medicines: Ketoconazole (antifungal) and salicylic acid (keratolytic agent). Ketoconazole is an antifungal agent that works by preventing the growth of dandruff-causing fungi by avoiding them from forming their own protective covering.
Salicylic acid belongs to a class of drugs known as keratoplastic, which works by removing dead cells from the skin’s top layer and slowing down skin cell’s growth. This effect decreases scaling and dryness, thus relieving itching and cracking related to dandruff.

Directions & For Use
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
The recommended dose is once or twice each day for 1 to 4 weeks
Wash the infected skin and dry it well
Rub the lotion gently into the affected area and surrounding skin with clean fingers
Should apply KENZ SAL to the center of the wart therefore avoiding the surrounding healthy skin
Do not use if the wart or skin surrounding it is inflamed or broken skin, on moles, birthmarks, unusual warts with hair growth, face, warts in the anal or genital region
KENZ SAL is for external use only and should only be applied to warts
Do not allow KENZ SAL to come into contact with mucous membranes (e.g. your mouth, nose and other body openings) or your eyes
If you use more KENZ SAL
If you use KENZ SAL more often than you should, it many cause some burning sensation, redness or swelling. Contact your doctor
If you forget to use KENZ SAL
If you forgot to use, apply when you remember or at the usual time
If you stop using KENZ SAL
Do not stop using unless told by your doctor

Drug Warnings
Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml may cause liver failure, so your doctor will monitor your liver function while taking Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml. Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Lotion 60 ml or other medications. Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml should not be taken if you have other scalp related disease.
Before taking Lotion 60 ml inform your doctor if you are taking other medicines. Inform your doctor if you have come in contact with sunlight. Avoid contact of topical Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml with nose, mouth or eyes as it may irritate.
Immediately stop using Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml and inform your doctor if you may observe irritation or any other skin infection. In case Lotion 60 ml comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly.
Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml. Lotion 60 ml is not recommended for children below 12 years.
Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interaction: Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml may interact with the antianxiety drug (alprazolam), heart disease (quinidine, amiodarone), blood pressure-lowering pills (aliskiren, felodipine, nifedipine), medicines used to treat enlarged prostate (alfuzosin), anticancer (busulfan).
Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid caffeine-containing food and drinking alcohol.
Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have allergy, heart or liver problems, inform your doctor before taking Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml.

Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml is contraindicated with liver disease. Therefore, it is advisable do not take Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml if you have liver disease. So, if you are having liver disease consult a doctor before using Kenz Sal Lotion 60 ml.
