Otogesic Ear Drop is a local anesthetic agent. It is used to treat minor pain, itching, irritation in the ears.

Otogesic Ear Drop is to be administered only in the affected ear and you should use it in a dose and duration as prescribed by the doctor.

If your condition does not improve or gets worse, you should stop using it and talk to your doctor. If you experience an accidental exposure of the medicine into your eyes, nose, mouth or vagina rinse with water.

The most common side effects of this medicine are mild irritation/discomfort in the ear, dizziness, headache, earache, or changes in taste may occur. These are usually mild and short-lived. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects persist or worry you.

Before using it, tell your doctor if you have an underlying disease or are taking medicines for heart rhythm problems. The medicines that are used externally usually do not get affected by other medicines, however, you should let your doctor know if you are taking any medicines to ensure safety. Ask your healthcare team for advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not use Otogesic Ear Drops 5 ml if you are allergic to Drops 5 ml or any ingredients present in it. Consult your doctor before using Drops 5 ml if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not touch the tip of the dropper as it may contaminate the contents.

Do not put any cotton into the ear after the administration of ear drops. Otogesic Ear Drops 5 ml is an otic solution used to treat infected ears only; do not instill in the eyes.
