Sulfacetamide Opthalmic is an antibiotic that is used against infections caused in the eye. This medicine Locula 10 ml is used for the treatment of bacterial corneal ulcers and Keratitis.

Sulfacetamide Opthalmic inhibits the bacterial multiplication of bacteria.

HOW MUCH TO TAKE THE DRUG?
The dosage may depend on a range of factors like age, sex, drug allergies, or seriousness of the condition among several other factors. The usual dose is one-two drops in the infected eye after every 4 hours in a day, depending upon the condition of the patient. In severe cases you can increase the dose to 1 drop after each one hour and subsequently with the improvement in the condition the dosage can be decreased to one eye drop after every 4 hours.

OVERDOSE:
If you think that you have used too much of Sulfacetamide Opthalmic, contact the Doctor immediately for further course of action.
MISS DOSE:
Missing even a single dose of Sulfacetamide Opthalmic can be detrimental for your condition. But if you miss a dose due to uncontrollable reasons, use it as soon as you remember it. However, skip the miss dose if it is too long since the original time to take the dose and very close to the time for the next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to compensate for the missed dose.

Locula 20 Eye Drops should be used as directed by your doctor. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.
It is effective in killing many types of bacteria. However, it will not work for other types of eye infections (e.g., viral) and therefore, should only be used if prescribed by your doctor. Unnecessary use of any antibiotic can lead to a decrease in its effectiveness in the future.
