Careprost Plus is composed of two active substances of a different class of drugs namely Bimatoprost and Timolol. Both the active ingredients work together to reduce pressure in the eye.
Bimatoprost is an ocular hypotensive active agent, a synthetic prostamide that mimics the effects of a biosynthesized component called prostamides, while Timolol is categorized under the drug class beta blockers.
Your eye has a clear, watery liquid that feeds the inside of the eye. This fluid is constantly being drained out, and new liquid is produced to replace this.
If the fluid remains inside and does not drain out, there is build up of pressure inside your eye, which could increase the risks of vision loss.
This type of eye condition is often called as glaucoma. Bimatoprost and Timolol work to reduce the fluid production as well as increase the amount of fluid that is drained out of the eye. This successfully reduces the pressure within the eye.
it is an ophthalmic solution, which is used to treat high pressure in the eye. This high pressure within the eye is also known as ocular hypertension.
Ocular hypertension can lead to glaucoma. The eye medication is an ideal choice for reduction of eye pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma.
An ophthalmologist will prescribe Careprost Plus when a patient does not respond to any other ophthalmic preparations containing prostaglandin analogues or beta blockers. The eye drop solution has a rapid onset of action.
Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines used to treat pressure in the eyes (ocular hypertension) and glaucoma. It works by decreasing the pressure of fluid in the eye (aqueous humor), which helps in lowering the increased eye pressure.
Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine.
Check the label thoroughly for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
The most common side effects include burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. If these side effects persist for a longer duration, inform your doctor. In case by accident, this medicine goes into your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it with plenty of water.
Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients of this medicine. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery after the use of this medicine as it may cause temporary blurring of vision and may affect your ability to drive. Read more: careprost plus eye drops

Use Careprost Plus exactly as your ophthalmologist has told you. Check with your health care specialist if you are not sure about how to use the eye drop.
It is recommended to use one drop daily in the affected eye. You can use it either in the morning or in the evening. Try to use it daily at the same time to maintain the continuity.
Make sure that the product bottle is sealed proof otherwise don?t use it.
Wash your hand and eyes before using the eye drop.
Tilt your head, look up, and squeeze the bottle to release one drop in the eye that needs treatment.
Close your eyes, while keeping the eye closed, all you need to do is press your finger against the corner of the closed eye (inside corner of your eye) and hold for two minutes.
This action is helpful in stopping the medication getting into the rest of the body.
Don?t let the tip of the bottle touch your eye or any other surface. Put the cap of the bottle immediately after using the medication.
If you have been told to use drop with other ophthalmic solution, take a gap of at least 5 to 10 minutes between putting Bimatoprost/Timolol and other medicine.
If you forget to use Bimatoprost/Timolol, there is nothing to think about much, what you need to do is use a single drop as an when you remember, and then go back to follow your normal dosing schedule. Avoid using the medication for more than once a day.
DROPS 0.03% DROPS 3ML belongs to the class of medication called ‘ophthalmic preparations’ used to treat raised /increased pressure in the eye.
It may lead to an illness called glaucoma. DROPS 0.03% DROPS 3ML is used alone or in combination with other drugs. Glaucoma is an eye disease in which the optic nerve is damaged. This damaged nerve leads to an increase in eye pressure abnormally.
CAREPROST PLUS 0.03% DROPS 3ML contains Bimatoprost (prostaglandin analogue) and Timolol (beta-blocker), primarily used in treating ocular hypertension (high pressure of the eye).
Bimatoprost works by increasing the drainage of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye) from the eye and reducing eye pressure.
Timolol works by decreasing the fluid production in the eye as the increased pressure can lead to a disease called glaucoma. If the pressure is too high, it can also lead to loss of sight.
CAREPROST PLUS 0.03% DROPS 3ML should be put only in the infected eye, and contact with the normal eye should be avoided.
Take CAREPROST PLUS 0.03% DROPS 3ML as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take CAREPROST PLUS 0.03% DROPS 3ML for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending upon your medical condition.

Put CAREPROST PLUS 0.03% DROPS 3ML only if the doctor prescribes you. Never encourage self-medication or suggest your medicine to someone else.
