Nodosis GST
Nodosis GST Tablet is indicated in the treatment of metabolic acidosis, promotion of gastric, systemic and urinary alkalinization, replacement therapy in severe diarrhea and used to reduce incidence of chemical phlebitis.Sodium Bicarbonate is an alkalinizing agent. It is used to increase urinary pH in order to increase the solubility of certain weak acids like cysteine, sulfonamides, uric acid or in the treatment of hemolytic reactions requiring alkalinization of the urine to diminish the nephrotoxic effects of blood pigments.
Nodosis GST Tablet is also used in the treatment of severe diarrhea accompanied by substantial GI bicarbonate loss and as an adjunct in the treatment of hyperkalemia to induce the cellular uptake of potassium and return the ratio of intracellular to extra cellular potassium concentration toward normal. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side effects of Nodosis GST Tablet:
Nodosis GST Tablet may cause nausea or vomiting, headache, muscle pain/stomach cramp, flatulence, swelling of feet, ankles or legs, decreased appetite, unusual tiredness, constipation, dry mouth or increased thirst or increased urination although not everybody gets them. Check with your physician.
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS:
Stomach cramp:
Try to rest and relax. Putting a heat pad or covered hot water bottle on your stomach may also help. Having a warm bath or shower can help you relax and relieve the pain. Drink plenty of clear fluids such as water and reduce your intake of coffee, tea, lemon juice or soda.
Flatulence:
Go for a walk, physical activity can get the bowels moving more regularly, which can help to release excess gas and stool.
Nausea:
Eat slowly with small meals throughout the day instead of three large meals. Avoiding hard-to-digest foods.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
It should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking.
Tell your doctor if you have breathing problem (pulmonary edema), congestive heart failure, severe kidney disease (inability to make urine), severe liver disease (ascites, cirrhosis), high sodium levels, and swollen ankles/legs/feet due to retaining water (peripheral edema), low calcium levels, high blood pressure, heart problems (irregular heartbeat).
Tell your doctor if you use diuretics, prescription and non-prescription medicines and herbal supplements.
