Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to Metformin or Myo Inositol or any other ingredients in this medicine
Have kidney or liver disease
Have mental disorder or thyroid problems
Have high levels of vitamin D in your blood (hypervitaminosis D)
Have high levels of calcium in your blood (hypercalcaemia) and urine
Have Ketoacidosis
Drink a lot of alcohol
Suffer from pernicious anaemia
Have a tumour
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant you should always consult with doctor before taking this medicine
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
Consult your doctor before giving this medicine to children
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
This medicine is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or use machines
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
Antidepressants
Cholestyramine
Oral contraceptives
Fluorouracil, a drug used to treat certain tumour
Antacids containing aluminium or magnesium
Preparations containing zinc such as vitamins or food supplements
Sulfasalazine, used to treat the inflammatory bowel conditions ulcerative colitis and Crohns disease
Histamine H2-antagonists
Digoxin, digitalis used for heart problem
Barbiturates used for sleep disturbance
Glucocorticoids often used to treat allergies or asthma (e.g. hydrocortisone, prednisolone)
Medicines which increase urine production (diuretics)
Ibuprofen and celecoxib, used to treat pain and inflammation
Certain medicines for the treatment of high blood pressure (ACE inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor antagonists)
Salbutamol or terbutaline (used to treat asthma)
Corticosteroids (used to treat a variety of conditions, such as severe inflammation of the skin or in asthma)
Other medicines used to treat diabetes
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Before taking this medicine consult your doctor, he may alter the dose according to your health condition
Swallow this medicine with a full glass of water
Do not crush or break the tablet
If you take more METITAL
If you take more METITAL, contact your nearest hospital or your doctor immediately
If you forget to take METITAL
Take them as soon as you remember and then continue with the next dose as instructed. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking METITAL
Talk to your doctor before stopping this medicine
SIDE EFFECTS OF METITAL:
SERIOUS
Malabsorption of vitamin B12
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
Change in taste perception
Lactic acidosis
Skin reaction
Abdominal pain

Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
