oriel 10 mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. It is used to treat various allergic conditions such as hay fever, conjunctivitis, some skin reactions such as eczema, hives, and reactions to bites and stings. It also relieves watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and itching.

oriel 10 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose required by you may vary depending on what you are taking it for. This medicine is usually taken in the evening, but follow the advice of your doctor on how to take it. You may need this medicine only on days you have symptoms, but if you are taking it to prevent the symptoms then you should take it regularly. If you miss doses or stop taking it earlier than advised, your symptoms may come back.

This medicine may cause drowsiness, tiredness and exhaustion
If you experience any of these symptoms, then do not drive or operate any machines

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

Always take ORIEL exactly as your doctor has told you
You should swallow the medicine whole with water
The usual dose for is one medicine daily
The duration of treatment depends on the type, duration and course of the complaints

If you take more ORIEL

If you have taken more ORIEL than you should, you may experience the following symptoms: confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, headache, feeling unwell, dilation of the pupils, itching, restlessness, drowsiness, sleepiness, fast heartbeat, shaking and difficulty passing urine
Contact your doctor immediately

If you forget to take ORIEL

Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
Skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the usual time

If you stop taking ORIEL

Do not stop this medicine unless told by your doctor

Pregnancy

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

oriel 10 mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

oriel 10 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or more prolonged use of oriel 10 mg Tablet may cause drowsiness and other effects in the baby or decrease the milk supply

Driving

UNSAFE

oriel 10 mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CAUTION

oriel 10 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of oriel 10 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of  oriel 10 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

oriel 10 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of oriel 10 mg Tablet is recommended.

WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE ORIEL TABLET?

If you miss a dose of oriel 10 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Keep out of the reach of children
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
