APTIMUST contains Cyproheptadine, Sorbitol and Tricholine
WHAT APTIMUST IS USED FOR?
APTIMUST is used for loss of appetite, weight loss, anorexia nervosa, and as an adjunct to anti-tubercular and antiretroviral regimens for weight gain
In children, it is indicated in underweight children who have inadequate dietary intake or loss of appetite and children suffering from anemia, liver or digestive disorder.

Talk to your doctor if you:
Are allergic to any other ingredients of this medicine
Have heart problem
Have asthma
Have high blood pressure
Have eye problem
Stenosing peptic ulcer
Symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy
Bladder neck obstruction or pyloroduodenal obstruction
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
MAO inhibitors
CNS depressants like, hypnotics, sedatives, tranquilizers and antianxiety agents
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
The dose is based on age, body weight and disease condition
Shake the bottle well before use
If you take more APTIMUST
If you take more of this medicine, talk to your doctor or go to your nearest hospital immediately
If you forget to take APTIMUST
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it, however if it is nearly time for the next dose skip the missed dose
If you stop taking APTIMUST
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells to do so
STORAGE:
Keep this medicine out of reach of the children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Aptimust Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine.
You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends.

HOW TO USE APTIMUST SYRUP
HOW APTIMUST SYRUP WORKS
It works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which regulates appetite.
Tricholine citrate is a bile acid binding agent which removes bile acids from the body.
The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol, as a result of which cholesterol level is lowered. Sorbitol acts as a syrup base and also as an osmotic laxative to relieve constipation.
