WHAT IS LEUCORIN 15MG?

LEUCORIN 15MG contains Leucovorin Calcium

WHAT LEUCORIN 15MG IS USED FOR?

It is used to diminish the toxicity and counteract the effect of impaired Methotrexate elimination
It is also used to treat the megaloblastic anemias due to folate deficiency
Nutritional deficiency
Megaloblastic anemias of pregnancy and infancy

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

Cytotoxic drugs (hydroxycarbamide cytarabine, mercaptopurine, thioguanine)
Phenobarbital, primidone, phenytoin and succinimides (used to treat epilepsy)
Folic acid antagonists (cotrimxazole, pyrimethamine)

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
For oral use only

If you take more LEUCORIN 15MG

If you take more than prescribed dose tell your doctor or go to a nearest hospital immediately

If you forget to take LEUCORIN 15MG

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking LEUCORIN 15MG

Do not stop taking the medicine without talking your doctor

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Leucorin 15 Tablet is used to prevent the harmful effects of methotrexate (anticancer medicine). It is also used in the treatment of methotrexate overdose.

Leucorin 15 Tablet can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. It is generally safe medicine to use with no common side effects if taken in the right amount. Your doctor may request regular blood tests to monitor your blood cells and serum methotrexate concentration in the blood.

Before taking it, tell your doctor if have seizures, liver, or kidney problems or are taking any medicines to treat infections. WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE LEUCORIN TABLET?

If you miss a dose of Leucorin Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
