MOXIF 400MG contains Moxifloxacin which belongs to a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones
WHAT MOXIF 400MG IS USED FOR?
MOXIF 400MG is used to treat bacterial infections include:
Community-Acquired Pneumonia
Skin and Skin Structure Infections
Complicated Intra-Abdominal Infections
Plague
Acute Bacterial Sinusitis
Acute Bacterial Exacerbation of Chronic Bronchitis
INTERACTIONS:
Talk to your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any of the following medicines
Pain killers such as diclofenac, paracetamol
Blood thinner (warfarin)
Medicine to control your heart rate or rhythm (antiarrhythmic)
Anti-psychotic medicines
Tricyclic antidepressant
Oral anti-diabetes medicine or insulin
Erythromycin
Water pill (diuretic)
Steroid medicines since corticosteroids taken by mouth or by injection may increase the chance of tendon injury
Antacids, multivitamins or other product that has magnesium, aluminum, iron, or zinc
Sucralfate
Didanosine oral suspension or solution
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Take MOXIF 400MG once a day exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider
Take MOXIF 400MG at about the same time each day
It should be swallowed
It can be taken with or without food
Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine
If you take more MOXIF 400MG
Contact your doctor immediately if you have taken more of this medicine
If you forget to take MOXIF 400MG
Take your next dose on the day following the missed dose
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking MOXIF 400MG
Do not stop taking MOXIF 400MG even if you begin to feel better, until you finish your prescribed treatment
STORAGE:
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Keep away from moisture (humidity)
Keep all medicines out of reach of children
PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Moxif 400 Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. You should not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Simply take the next dose as planned.
You may have a headache, dizziness, and nausea as side effects of this medicine. These are usually temporary and resolves on its own, but please consult your doctor if it bothers you or persists for a longer duration. Diarrhea may also occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools.
You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Special care should be taken in people with kidney problems while taking this medicine.

Moxif Tablet may make you feel dizzy or light-headed, you may experience a sudden, transient loss of vision, or you may faint for a short period. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver
Limited information is available on the use of Moxif Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
