WHAT IS NORFLOX 400MG?
NORFLOX 400MG contains Norfloxacin which is an antibiotic in a group of drugs called fluoroquinolones
WHAT NORFLOX 400MG IS USED FOR?
It is used for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria that are sensitive to norfloxacin, such as infections of the urinary system
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
Anti-arrhythmic (e.g. quinidine, hydroquinidine, disopyramide, amiodarone, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide) (used to treat heart problems)
Tricyclic antidepressants (used to treat depression)
Antimicrobials (belong to the group of macrolides)
Antipsychotics (used to treat psychosis)
Antacids (used for indigestion or heartburn)
Sucralfate (used for stomach ulcers or an inflamed stomach (gastritis)
Calcium, magnesium, aluminum, iron, zinc, multivitamins, minerals
Theophylline (used for breathing problems)
Warfarin, phenprocoumon or acenocoumarol (used to thin the blood)
Fenbufen (used for joint pain)
Glibenclamide (used to treat diabetes)
Didanosine (used for HIV or AIDS)
Ciclosporin, mycophenolic acid (used after transplants and for some other illnesses)
Probenecid (used for gout)
Caffeine

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Norflox 400 Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. If you stop taking this medicine too early, the bacteria may continue to grow and the infection may return or worsen.
The most common side effects of this medicine include vomiting, headache, dizziness, and stomach pain. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days.
Before using it, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics or have any kidney or liver problems.
