AZIDERM 10% contains azelaic acid which belongs to a class of medication known as dicarboxylic acids

CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
AZIDERM 10% is not recommended in children below the age of 12 years
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
AZIDERM 10% has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you are taking any other skin preparation or especially if you are using
Benzoic acid or Propylene glycol
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always apply AZIDERM 10% cream exactly as your doctor has told you
For Adults and Adolescents (12 ? 18 years of age)
First thoroughly wash with plain water the whole area to be treated and dry it with some cotton cloth
Start treatment with AZIDERM 10% twice a day
If your skin is very sensitive use AZIDERM 10% once a day, in the evening during
the first week of treatment. Then change to twice a day
If you have acne on your chest and back, as well as your face, adjust the amount of cream and use it accordingly
Wash your hands thoroughly after using AZIDERM 10%
If you use more AZIDERM CREAM
If you use too much of AZIDERM 10% cream or if someone else has applied your medicine, talk to your doctor immediately and you may need Medical attention
If you forget to use AZIDERM CREAM
If you have forgotten to use your AZIDERM 10% cream take them as soon as possible on the same day. Do not take a double dose
If you stop using AZIDERM CREAM
Do not stop using AZIDERM 10% cream without talking to your doctor first
SIDE EFFECTS OF AZIDERM CREAM:
SERIOUS
Like all medicine, this medicine can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.
Allergic reaction (e.g. rash)
Irritations (for example burning and itching pruritis)
Pain at the application site
COMMON
Like all medicine, this medicine can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.
Abnormal redness of the skin (erythema) at the site of application
Feeling of tingling or numbness (paranesthesia)
Dry skin at the application site reaction due to an external agent (contact dermatitis), abnormal redness of the skin (erythema); scaling, warmth, skin discoloration at the application site
Swelling (oedema), scaling, pain
UNCOMMON
Like all medicine, this medicine can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.
Greasy skin, acne or loss of skin colour, tingling, dermatitis, nettle rash (urticaria)
RARE
Like all medicine, this medicine can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.
Cracking of the lips, vesicles (small blisters), eczema, ulceration, warmth at the site of application
STORAGE:
- Protect from excess heat and light
- Keep out of reach of children
- Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
- Do not use if you notice some visible signs of medicine deterioration
