WHAT IS CLEARGEL Gel?

CLEAR AP contains an active ingredient called Adapalene and Clindamycin
It is used for skin purpose only

WHAT CLEAR AP IS USED FOR?

It is used to treat acne vulgaris in people 12 years of age and older. Acne vulgaris is a condition in which the skin has blackheads, white heads and pimples
It is used to treat mild to moderate acne(spots)

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

Talk to your doctor before applying CLEAR AP, if you:

Are allergic to CLEAR AP or any of the ingredients of this medicine
Have other skin problems, including cuts or sunburn
Have any other skin conditions

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS

CLEAR AP should not be used by children under the age of 12 years

DRIVING & USING MACHINES

CLEAR GEL doesn’t have any effect while driving or using machines

CLEAR AP DOESN?T HAVE ANY EFFECT WHILE DRIVING OR USING MACHINES:

Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements especially if you are using:

Topical medicines that contain sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy or glycolic acid
Using or any other topical preparation such as erythromycin metronidazole or aminoglycosides

DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:

Always apply this gel exactly as your doctor has told you
You should use CLEAR GEL once a day. Wash as normal, rinse well and pat your skin dry
Apply a small amount of gel in a thin layer to the whole of the area where you usually get the spots
It should be used for a maximum of 12 weeks
You may need to use more than one tube of CLEAR GEL during each course of treatment
Try not to pick or squeeze spots as this can make your acne worse and even lead to scarring
Do not use CLEAR AP in or on your mouth, eyes or vagina
It can make your skin sensitive to sun and the light from tanning beds and sunlamps

If you use more CLEAR GEL

If you apply too much CLEAR AP just wash your treated skin with plenty of water. There may be a chance of increase in skin irritation, contact your doctor or your local hospital

If you forget to use CLEAR GEL

Use it as soon as you remember and then continue to use as your doctor has told you. Do not apply a double dose to make up for a forgotten application

If you stop using CLEAR GEL

If you stop applying too soon your infection may come back again or get worse
Do not stop taking CLEAR AP unless your doctor tells you to do so

SIDE EFFECTS OF CLEAR GEL:

SERIOUS

Like all medicines, the medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Adapalene:

Redness or dryness of the skin
Stinging or burning sensation in the skin

COMMON

Sunburn

Clindamycin:

Dry skin
Redness of the skin
Skin burning
Irritation around eyes
Worsening of acne
Itchy skin

UNCOMMON

Painful skin
Scaly rash
Inflammation of the bowel
Diarrhea with blood and mucus

STORAGE:

Protect from excess heat and light
Keep out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date

Cleargel Gel is a combination of two medicines that effectively treats acne.
It minimizes oil production and helps to reduce inflammation. It also kills acne-causing microorganisms and prevents infection.
This helps to prevent pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads on the skin.

Side effects

Inform your doctor if you have any problems with your bowels (intestines), or if you are using any other medicines to treat skin conditions. Consult your doctor about using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

HOW CLEARGEL AP GEL WORKS

Cleargel  Gel is a combination of two medicines: Adapalene and Clindamycin, which treats pimples (acne). Adapalene is a form of vitamin A which prevents accumulation of the sebum (skin’s natural oil), unblocks the pores and allows natural exfoliation of the outer layers of skin.
Clindamycin is an antibiotic which works by penetrating into the skin and killing acne-causing bacteria.

WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE CLEARGEL GEL?

If you miss a dose of Cleargel Gel, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
