Lezyncet M Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of allergic symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, watery eyes and congestion or stuffiness. It also reduces inflammation in the airways and make breathing easier.
Lezyncet M Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, dryness in the mouth, headache, skin rash, flu-like symptoms, and fatigue. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.
Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before you start taking this medicine it is important to inform your doctor if you are suffering from kidney disease.

USES OF ZYNCET
- Relieve the symptoms of hay fever, non-seasonal rhinitis, skin allergies such as rash, itching and urticaria (hives), pet or house mite allergies
HOW ZYNCET WORKS
ZYNCET works by blocking the effects of histamine, which may be overproduced in allergic reactions which causes unpleasant symptoms such as itchy or watery eyes, running or blocked nose, sneezing and skin rashes.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Always take ZYNCET exactly as your doctor has told you. Check the label for directions before use. Shake well before use.

SERIOUS
- Allergic reaction including severe reaction and angioedema (serious allergic reaction which cause swelling of the face or throat)

- Somnolence (sleepiness)

RARE

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Diarrhoea:
Drink lot of fluid such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicines without talking to a doctor.
Nausea:
Try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.
Dizziness:
Get up and move around to feel awake, take small naps to edge off the sleepiness. Give your eyes a break to avoid fatigue and eat a healthy food to boost energy.
Headache:
Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee.

Liver
Limited information is available on the use of Lezyncet M Syrup in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.

- Theophylline (used for some heart conditions or breathing disorders like asthma or bronchitis)
- Central nervous system depressants such as barbiturates (used as sedatives or anaesthetics)
