Optruma 10ML eye drops is an ophthalmologic drug used for the treatment of burning, irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eyes. It acts as an eye lubricant or artificial tears and helps to soothe the burning and irritation seen in dry eyes by maintaining proper lubrication.
It also protects your eyes from infection and injuries. However, the uses mentioned here are not comprehensive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.
Side and Adverse Effects
Optruma eye drops is usually well tolerated when taken in the recommended dosage guidelines. Most side effects are temporary and usually subsides on their own. However, consult your doctor if they persist for a longer duration. You may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
- Visual discomfort
- Eye disturbances
- Eye pain
- Burning and stinging of eye
- Eye irritation
How to Use
Take Optruma Eye drops as instructed by your doctor. Do not use this medicine for durations shorter or longer than suggested by your doctor. Avoid missing or forgetting the dose, if you do, take the medicine as soon as remember, however if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the previous dose and use it according to your normal scheduled time.
Use the medicine as directed on the label or as advised by your doctor.

Driving
Your night vision may get worse during your treatment. This can happen suddenly. Drowsiness and dizziness have been reported very rarely. This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney
If you experience excessive tiredness, puffy eyes and difficulty in urination while taking this medicine, inform your doctor and stop the therapy.
