Side and Adverse Effects

Optruma eye drops is usually well tolerated when taken in the recommended dosage guidelines. Most side effects are temporary and usually subsides on their own. However, consult your doctor if they persist for a longer duration. You may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

• Visual discomfort
• Eye disturbances
• Eye pain
• Burning and stinging of eye
• Eye irritation

How to Use

Take Optruma Eye drops as instructed by your doctor. Do not use this medicine for durations shorter or longer than suggested by your doctor. Avoid missing or forgetting the dose, if you do, take the medicine as soon as remember, however if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the previous dose and use it according to your normal scheduled time.

Use the medicine as directed on the label or as advised by your doctor.
Instil 1-2 drops in the affected eye as needed. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before instilling the drops. click here : Optruma eye drop

SAFETY ADVICE

Alcohol

Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Capsule. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy

Optruma eye drop is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor’s advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Breast feeding

Optruma eye drop is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

Optruma eye drop may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Your night vision may get worse during your treatment. This can happen suddenly. Drowsiness and dizziness have been reported very rarely. This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney

Optruma eye drop is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you experience excessive tiredness, puffy eyes and difficulty in urination while taking this medicine, inform your doctor and stop the therapy.

Liver

it is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
