Logidruf S Solution 100 ml belongs to a medication called ‘keratolytic agent‘ primarily used to treat skin conditions like psoriasis, dandruff, and control seborrheic dermatitis (scaly patches and red skin on the scalp). Logidruf S Solution 100 ml reduces the hardening, thickening, and scaling of the skin.

Psoriasis is a skin disorder in which skin cells multiply up to 10 times faster than usual, leading to skin build-up into bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales. These commonly appear on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back.

Logidruf S Solution 100 ml is composed of two medicines: Salicylic acid (peeling agent) and Coal Tar (keratoplastic). Salicylic acid is a keratolytic medicine (softens, separates, and causes desquamation (peeling) of the cornified epithelium or horny layer of skin).

Salicylic acid increases moisture in the skin and dissolves the substance that causes the skin cells to stick together. It breaks down the clumps of keratin, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. Salicylic acid is also an anti-inflammatory agent and topical antibacterial.

It treats acne, dandruff, seborrhea (scaly patches and red skin mainly on the scalp) and removes corns and calluses. Coal tar belongs to a class of drugs known as keratoplastic (thickens the keratin layers).

It works by removing dead cells from the skin’s top layer and slowing down skin cells’ growth. This effect decreases scaling and dryness, thus relieving itchiness from various skin conditions.

Logidruf S Solution 100 ml is available in the form of lotion, ointment, and soap. Salicylic acid is also available in shampoo, soap, lotion, gel, foam and solution formulations.

Logidruf S Solution 100 ml is for topical (for skin use) only. Logidruf S Solution 100 ml has common side effects like warmth or a burning sensation, skin irritation, itching and redness at the application site. The burning sensation may usually last for five minutes after application.

Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Logidruf S Solution 100 ml or other medications. Do not put dressing or bandage on the affected area unless the doctor advised doing so.

Please check with your doctor before using Logidruf S Solution 100 ml, if you have kidney, liver diseases, folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles), lupus erythematosus (an autoimmune disease), broken or infected skin, diabetes, poor blood circulation, and other skin infections.

Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Logidruf S Solution 100 ml. Are allergic to salicylic acid, coconut oil, distilled coal tar or any of the other ingredients of LOGIDRUF
Have any acute infection of the skin
Have broken or infected skin
Suffer from any form of psoriasis which causes the appearance of blisters filled with pus (acute pustular psoriasis)

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING

LOGIDRUF should not be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding

DRIVING & USING MACHINES

Using this product is not known to affect your ability to drive or use machinery

If you use more LOGIDRUF

If you use more LOGIDRUF it is unlikely to lead to any serious side effects. If you accidentally swallow any LOGIDRUF, immediately tell your doctor or contact your nearest hospital casualty department

If you forget to use this product, use it when you remember

If you Stop taking this LOGIDRUF

Do not stop using this medicine unless told by your doctor

SERIOUS

• Irritation or allergic skin reactions such as itching or redness of the scalp

COMMON

• Irritation of the skin
• Inflammation of the hair follicles
• Acne like eruptions
• Hair loss
• Discoloration of skin and hair

RARE

• A rash from sensitivity to sunlight

VERY RARE

• Difficulty in breathing or tightness in your chest

Store at room temperature (15°-25°C)
Do not use after the expiry date
Do not use if the tube membrane is broken
