NEBICARD 2.5MG contains a medicine called nebivolol which belongs to the group of medicines called selective beta-1 adrenergic blocker. It is used to treat hypertension (raised blood pressure) and mild to moderate chronic heart failure in patients aged 70 or over, in addition to other therapies. HOW NEBICARD 2.5MG WORKS

Nebivolol binds to and blocks the activity of beta-1 adrenergic receptors in the heart, and decreases cardiac contractility and heart rate, which reduces cardiac output resulting in low blood pressure. It also suppresses the activity of renin in the kidneys and prevents the activity of aldosterone which promotes vasodilation, decrease in peripheral vascular resistance, increase in stroke volume, ejection fraction and cardiac output that may lead to benefits in heart failure patients.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take this medicine as directed by your physician. It can be taken either with food or on an empty stomach. Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you depending upon your condition. Feeling sick (nausea):

Diarrhea:
