WHAT IS NORFLOX 200MG?

NORFLOX 200MG contains Norfloxacin which is an antibiotic in a group of drugs called fluoroquinolones

WHAT NORFLOX 200MG IS USED FOR?

It is used for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria that are sensitive to norfloxacin, such as infections of the urinary system

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

Anti-arrhythmic (e.g. quinidine, hydroquinidine, disopyramide, amiodarone, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide) (used to treat heart problems)
Tricyclic antidepressants (used to treat depression)
Antimicrobials (belong to the group of macrolides)
Antipsychotics (used to treat psychosis)
Antacids (used for indigestion or heartburn)
Sucralfate (used for stomach ulcers or an inflamed stomach (gastritis)
Calcium, magnesium, aluminum, iron, zinc, multivitamins, minerals
Theophylline (used for breathing problems)
Warfarin, phenprocoumon or acenocoumarol (used to thin the blood)
Fenbufen (used for joint pain)
Glibenclamide (used to treat diabetes)
Didanosine (used for HIV or AIDS)
Ciclosporin, mycophenolic acid (used after transplants and for some other illnesses)
Probenecid (used for gout)
Caffeine

HOW TO USE TABLET

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

HOW TABLET WORKS

Tablet is a combination of two medicines. Norfloxacin is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them. Lactobacillus is a probiotic. It works by restoring the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset after antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections. This is how it works to treat bacterial infections.
