SAFERET 10MG contains Isotretinoin which belongs to Retinoids
WHAT SAFERET 10MG IS USED FOR?
SAFERET 10MG is used to treat the most severe form of acne (nodular acne)
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
TALK TO DOCTOR
Tell your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to Isotretinoin or to any other ingredients of this medicine
Have mental problems, asthma or diabetes
Have liver or heart disease
Have bone loss (osteoporosis) or weak bones
Have anorexia nervosa, an eating problem where people eat too little
Have food or medicine allergies
Are undergoing cosmetic procedures to smooth your skin, including waxing, dermabrasion, or laser procedures
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
SAFERET 10MG must not be used by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. SAFERET 10MG causes severe birth defects like deformed babies, loss of a baby before birth (miscarriage), death of the baby, and early (premature) births
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take including prescription and non-prescription, herbal supplements.
Especially tell your doctor if you are taking,
Vitamin A supplements
Tetracycline antibiotics
Progestin-only birth control pills
Phenytoin used to treat fits
Corticosteroid medicines
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always take SAFERET 10MG exactly as prescribed by your doctor
The amount of SAFERET 10MG you take has been specially chosen for you. It is based on your body weight, and may change during treatment
Swallow SAFERET 10MG whole with a full glass of water
If you take more SAFERET 10MG
If you take more SAFERET 10MG, call your doctor right away
If you forget to take SAFERET 10MG
If you miss a dose, just skip that dose. Do not take two doses at the same time
If you stop taking SAFERET 10MG
Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor
STORAGE:
Store SAFERET 10MG at room temperature (15-25°C)
Keep out of reach of children
Do not use this after the expiry date
Additional Information
it should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Take it with food, preferably at the same time each day to avoid a missed dose. It may take several weeks for your symptoms to improve but keep taking the medicine regularly to get the most benefit. If you notice no improvement after a few weeks, see your doctor again.

Most common side effects
it may make you more sensitive to sunlight so you should limit your exposure to the sun. It may also make your skin more fragile. Avoid any waxing (hair removal), or laser treatments during treatment. Additionally, it may cause dryness of the mouth, lips, and eyes so drink plenty of water and use a moisturizer. This medicine may lead to birth defects, do consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy.

Your night vision may get worse during your treatment. This can happen suddenly. Drowsiness and dizziness have been reported very rarely. This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney
If you experience excessive tiredness, puffy eyes and difficulty in urination while taking this medicine, inform your doctor and stop the therapy.
