ANTI THYROX 10MG contains Carbimazole which belongs to a group of medicines called anti-thyroid agents
WHAT ANTI THYROX 10MG IS USED FOR?
ANTI THYROX 10MG is used,
To treat hyperthyroidism
WARNING & PRECAUTION:

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to Carbimazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have a serious blood disorder
Have a severe liver disorder
Have swelling in your neck called an ?intrathoracic goiter
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
ANTI THYROX 10MG may need to be continued during pregnancy but very rarely it can cause harm to a developing foetus
You should not breast feed if you are taking ANTI THYROX 10MG. Ask your doctor for advice before taking any medicine
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
The effects of ANTI THYROX 10MG on the ability to drive and operate machinery have not been established
INTERACTIONS:
Please tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken other medicines including medicines obtained without a prescription, or the following:
Theophylline used to treat asthma or breathing problems
Warfarin, medicines called anticoagulants, which are used to thin the blood
Other thyroid medicines like thiamazole and propylthiouracil
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always take this medicine exactly as told by your doctor
Swallow this medicine as a whole with a glass of water
The dose may vary according to the age and disease condition of the patient
If you take more ANTI THYROX 10MG
If you or someone else swallows several of these tablets all together, contact your doctor or nearest hospital emergency department immediately
If you forget to take ANTI THYROX 10MG
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose, just carry on as before
If you stop taking ANTI THYROX 10MG
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to stop your treatment
SIDE EFFECTS OF ANTI THYROX 10MG:
SERIOUS:
Angioedema, a serious allergic reaction with symptoms that may include swollen tongue, lips, face or throat
Lung problems, with symptoms that include shortness of breath or cough
Kidney problems, with symptoms that include a reduction in the amount of urine passed, fluid retention and blood in the urine
Sore throat and mouth ulcers
High temperature or fever
Significant tiredness
Increased bruising or bleeding tendency you are feeling generally unwell or think that you may have an infection
Deadly skin disease
Muscle aches or pains
Notice yellowing of your skin or the whites of your eyes
Nerve, joint pain and headache
Swollen lymph nodes or swelling of the glands in your mouth
Feeling sick
Skin rashes, including urticaria (nettle rash) itching
Stomach upset
Hair loss
Loss of taste
STORAGE:
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)

Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine. Use of AntiThyrox 10 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
